Following months of diligent work to transform a former shop into a cozy traditional bar, the establishment now stands just a short stroll from Newport railway station and the city center. True to the micro pub ethos, there's a noticeable absence of intrusive noise from televisions or gaming machines, though patrons can enjoy some background music and occasional live performances by local musicians on Sundays.


The bar offers a selection of three cask ales, with a preference for including a dark ale, all sourced from small breweries. Additionally, patrons can explore a range of bottle-conditioned ales from Anglo Oregon, alongside periodic offerings of bottled beers from nearby breweries.
